This book is good enough to review! I've been buying quite a few 99 cent books lately. And I've been pretty disappointed with the stories. I figure I can't complain, since I'm the one being a cheapskate and "you get what you pay for". And then came "The Eighth Day". Finally an outstanding book! Well worth the read, and worth paying full price for. I will be following this author and look for his other titles. The pace is perfect. The writing is well done. Keeps you engaged and wanting to know "what's next?".Product details

I need to be pulled into a book immediately and The Eighth Day did just that. The first line hooked me and the quick-pace and intrigue never let up. Looking forward to reading more by Joseph John!
It seems pretty much like the beginning of a series but I think you'll agree that it's a good thing. The writing is so fast paced you'll be done in no time and wondering what will happen next.
I wasn't sure if this book would be any good, but once I got into it, it was pretty good. It makes you stop and think that something like this could really happen.
I didn’t have high expectations but this both far exceeded them. The start was quirky and reminded me of Twin Peaks. Both halves are well paced. My interest never waned. The science was just believable enough but not too deep. The editing was tight. Overall, a great sci-fi thriller.
I'll keep this short, simple, and to the point...
If you are a fan of alternate world, science fiction, or mystery novels, then look no further. This outstanding story combines them all!
Whether you are a fan of digital e-books or want the physical copies to hold, you will be delighted that this gives you both options and it's well worth the price.
Just get it, already!
This book was a solid 4.5. The story included plenty of action in whose description the author excelled. The story started, not slow but rather common in content. This then changed with a plot twist and became an interesting action filled adventure. I look forward to reading other works by this writer.
I don't like to have great corporations messing with my mind for their own good, but it happens every day and I can't stop it unless I go and live in a cave without communications. Not going to happen.
So what is the worst that they can do to us? Well, Joseph John has come up with an idea or two in this book that will give you an inkling to disturb your dreams. It is all quite logical, and I fear that it might happen, or be already under development.
