I feel....enlightened, freed, encouraged, worried, and as said best by Lilly......Peace. I am so glad I waited. I did get my "REVENGE" from holding out reading book 7 until book 8 came out. I don't think I could have survived like Lilly has. It has now come full circle she now knows. Not all her questions are answered but the ones you want to know just for now are. You do have a feeling it's not over yet but you are at peace for now. Peace at knowing everything. Now we only wait a few short weeks for book 9 and then the last book. BOOK 10. So hold on to your panties girls I don't think this ride is over yet.
This book/author attempts to make physical, mental, and sexual abuse erotic. There was nothing erotic about it; it was painful to read. I read other installments in the series in the hopes that the main character would triumph, find her voice, regain her strength, and get justice. However, it was more of the same abuse. It is my hope that those individuals that read material like this do not confuse rape, emotional, mental, and physical abuse with romance or eroticism. They are polar opposites.
This is a terrible series. The hero is extremely disturbing, and not in a 'hey, he'll come around and seem great' kind of way. I read the whole series, just HOPING this creep would somehow redeem himself. Somehow make me like him at least a little. Rape. I don't have a problem reading about it, I've lived through it so believe any one can, eventually. But loving the bastard after that, after cutting the head off a dove and forcing the h to eat the dove, shocking her, her father, causing brain damage, mind games and tests.... To say I despised this series wouldn't be accurate. So much worse than that. H is a freaking jerk and h is supposed to be an ivy leagued educated woman, who is so stupid, I think she needs a helmet. Writing was done well, somewhat, but incredibly boring.
I just wish I hadn't purchased the whole series by the good reviews.
Just want to add, this story was predictable. And I couldn't stop shaking my head at how ridiculous that was.
Oh my goodness these books have been great. I just stumbled on to them. These books will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you haven't read them you need too. WOW is all I have left to say. Bring on number 9.

Lily is desperate to find out just how much Fey an Rob knows about Jeremy's past, his company dealings and any other information she might retain for later. But with all they uncover, will it be enough to throw in the towel and give up on the progress she made with Jeremy all together?
While part 8 was very revealing it didn't live up to the other books in this series. While I love sweet romantic Jeremy, I much prefer evil condescending Jeremy. And the likely side of him was mostly who we saw in this book.
I have to admit though, with all the information Lily retained about Jeremy thus far, how will she use it to get her revenge. Is revenge even still on the table? Or is she willing to give into the feels she has for Jeremy and let it all go? That little missing piece of the puzzle is what keeps me glued to this series.
Now I'm off to the next book...
Everyone seems to really hate what has happened or not happened has this series progresses. I tend to agree a little....that the last two, although highly anticipated, have been sort of disappointing. Get to the point already! Make good on all the promises you have made up till now and let's get this series concluded with a big amazing shocking climax! Hurry....
Jeremy you sadistic son of a bitch … how is it that I have fallen head over heels in love with you? More so, how is it that my trust in you is always questioned and I fear that all I have hoped for is nothing more than a game of cat and mouse.
The Uncovering You series is a dark series. You think you have read all there is about evil and then you pick up the first book in this series and you realize how wrong you were. Torture and pain with a twist is what hooked me. I had to know why. I had to know who. I was addicted, hungry for any little detail the author shared.
The characters within the pages of these books are extremely well-defined physically and emotionally. The author breathes life into these characters with her words making them explode on the pages with such intense realism.
If you are a lover of dark, suspenseful erotic reads you will enjoy that the storyline is very unique. Mystery, intrigue, shock, surprise, lust, anger, hate, passion, deceit, contempt and revenge are contributing factors throughout the story.
The intensity of the passion, the willingness to survive, the helplessness of giving in and the feeling of being so broken you doubt it will be possible to mend. The arrogance, the calm, the secrets, the lies, the uncertainty and the deep-seated anger wrap themselves around the words making this a story that is impossible to put down.
While reading this series I found myself lost to the outside world. The only thing that existed lived within the pages of the books. I was owned by the author. Helpless to control my mind. To stop the screaming I heard inside of my head. I felt compassion, fear and anger. I felt hunger, mistrust and confusion. I felt shattered and spent. To say that I found these 8 books compelling would be an understatement. The pages hold mystery and intrigue, confusion and clarification, interest, hope and despair. The author never allows us to figure out the next step. She plays with our minds making us believe one thing only to surprise us with something else.
Within 3 days I had read all 8 of the books in this series. I was hooked. I needed to know what happened next. This series became like an addiction to me. I found that I would pick up a book even if I only had a few minutes to read.
This series was my introduction to Scarlett Edwards. One of the things that I really like about this author is she is fan driven. While reading the author’s thoughts in each book, it seems that she listens to what her fans want and attempts to accommodate their wishes. I will admit, that this made me like the author even more.
If you enjoy dark reads. Stories with a leading male character who goes beyond evil but at the same time can fulfil some of your most intense darkest fantasies. If you enjoy stories with strong, smart and determined leading women. If you enjoy one of the most intense games of cat and mouse. A game of the hunter and the prey than you will love this series.
As usual... Although some parts were foregone conclusions, it was nice to see them in print. I look forward to seeing how she can reveal all Jeremys secrets, and keep them together by book 10. I pray for a happy ending.
